Resolved Question: Is the moon getting closer?

Ok I know that we have been told many a time that the moon is moving father away to earth. However lately ive looked up at the sky and it looked a little bigger than usual. Even right now, i'm in Kansas and its 10:43 am and it looks like it os the same aize as the ain. I can even see the dark parts.
